By Chance: Chris Gough, John Hacker, Matthew Harris
11 June to 5th July, Viking Gallery, Margate
Chris Gough, John Hacker and Matthew Harris have recently met having been sought as a group by curator Philip O’Reilly. ‘By Chance’ is their first show together. Although all are using chance as an element of their working processes, their distinctly individual mark making language sets them apart from each other. The technical demands of their working processes in print, paint and cloth are equally varied and add to the frisson that makes surveying this exhibition an exciting experience.

Spitalfields Music, Summer Festival 2015. Saturday 13 June 6.30pm
‘Field Notes’ is finally coming to London this June. After a hugely successful tour of Shropshire, Herefordshire and the Welsh borders in the spring and autumn of last year it will be great to bring this wonderful project to the Bishopsgate Institute as part of the Spitalfields Summer Music Festival. Come along and experience the fantastic musicianship of the players of B.C.M.G and hear Howard’s wonderful composition ‘Field Notes’ as well as music by other contemporary British Composers. You can also see my work in situ alongside the musicians. For full details and booking information please go to http://www.spitalfieldsmusic.org.uk/whats-on/summer-festival-2015/field-notes/ Hope to see you there.
Also read the next posting for news of an exhibition I’m having nearby to accompany Field Notes.
